Author Literary Luncheon Series

Thank you for your enthusiasm for the Author Literary Luncheon Series! We love hosting these vibrant and unique connections between authors and readers, at the five-star Wequassett Resort, overlooking Pleasant Bay.

Summer 2026 looks a little different, as Caitlin is taking an “Events Sabbatical” to study for a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling (specializing inNarrative Therapy and Bibliotherapy - come talk to her about the powerful books in your life!).

It would be impossible to pursue this degree while also hosting multiple off-site events, and it is a personal and professional goal that she did not want to put off any longer.

That said…we love this summer tradition with our readers, and the stars aligned for a great one on August 10th (a Literary Breakfast), with authors Chris Bohjalian and Jennifer Weiner. More information on that will be coming as soon as possible, with tickets on sale after (with a buffer of time for people to cross-check calendars).

We may be hosting one more…the delay is in coordinating that serendipitous opportunity, so both sets of tickets will be announced at the same time.

  • About the Literary Luncheon Series

    Where the Sidewalk Ends Bookstore has hosted authors at the Author Literary Luncheon Series on Cape Cod since Summer 2008, in what has grown to be an exceptional combination of authors and readers in a gorgeous setting overlooking Pleasant Bay.

    Authors dine at the tables with the guests, speak from the podium, and sign their books. Each event is unique! We have had film trailer screenings, related menu items, authors’ families and publicists attending, raffle giveaways (including a hand-thrown glass flower blown by the author!) and slideshows. The unifying force is a passion for books!
